1. Working principle
Floating sand machines usually have partitions in a single sand cylinder, and a blower is installed below the partition. The blower is connected to an air inlet pipe and blows air above the partition, causing the sand above the partition to constantly churn under the action of wind. When the wax mold coated with slurry is placed in the sand cylinder, the sand can be evenly adhered to the surface of the wax mold, completing the sand hanging operation.
2. Structural characteristics
Floating sand machine is generally composed of sand bucket, fan, partition, suction port and other parts. The sand bucket is used to hold molding sand, the fan provides the power to suspend the sand particles, the partition can evenly distribute the airflow, and the suction port can be used in conjunction with a dust collector to improve the quality of sand hanging and reduce environmental pollution.

Taking the product of Changshun Precision Casting Equipment Company as an example, the MFS60 floating sand machine uses a 380VAC power supply, with an installed power of 4.0kw, a sand bucket diameter of 600mm, external dimensions of 1600 × 900 × 800mm, and a weight of 250kg; the MFS80 floating sand machine uses a 380VAC power supply, with an installed power of 7.5kw, a sand bucket diameter of 800mm, external dimensions of 1800 × 900 × 1000mm, and a weight of 320kg.
4. Scope of application
The floating sand machine is mainly suitable for the wax mold hanging of two-layer and back layer sand in investment casting, and is one of the complete precision casting equipment for medium and low-temperature mold materials.
