1、 Working principle
The core of the vibrating shell machine is to use "vibration impact" to achieve physical separation between the sand shell and the casting. The specific process revolves around "vibration excitation stress damage sand shell detachment waste collection":
1. Vibration source provides power:
The device is equipped with a built-in vibration motor (or eccentric block vibration mechanism), which drives the eccentric block to rotate at high speed after being powered on, generating high-frequency and directional excitation force (the vibration frequency is usually 1500-3000r/min, and the amplitude can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the casting).
2. Vibration transmission and stress failure:
The excitation force is transmitted to the "vibration worktable" (or hopper) of the equipment, and the castings placed on the worktable vibrate synchronously with the worktable at high frequency. The sand shell on the surface of the casting (composed of quartz sand, binder, etc.) differs greatly from the material and stiffness of the casting body. During vibration, the two produce different inertial forces and displacements, resulting in cracks inside the sand shell and damage to the bonding strength.
3. Sand shell detachment and separation:
As the vibration continues, crack propagation causes the sand shell to peel off and break from the surface of the casting, forming loose sand particles and broken shells; Some vibration shell machines are equipped with "screening devices" (such as mesh screens), which can automatically separate the fallen sand from the castings - the castings remain above the screen, and the sand falls into the sand collection hopper below through the screen holes.
4. Auxiliary shell cleaning (optional):
For castings with complex structures (such as deep cavities and blind holes), some high-end vibration shell machines are also equipped with "compressed air blowing" or "brush assistance" functions to effectively remove residual fine sand particles and ensure thorough shell cleaning.
2、 Structural composition
The structural design of the vibrating shell machine needs to adapt to the requirements of "high-frequency vibration" and "efficient separation". The core components can be divided into five modules according to their functions:
